When we think of strong business brands, there are a lot of characteristics they all have in common. The same applies to powerful personal brands. What comes to mind when you think of Business Leaders Linda Alvarado, Carlos Slim Helú; Community Advocates Janet Murguía, César Chávez; Journalists Elizabeth Vargas, Jorge Ramos, Actors/Activists Salma Hayek, James Edward Olmos, Government Officials U.S. Secretary of Labor Hilda Solis, Senator Robert Menendez; iHispano CEO Rudy Martinez and other Latino Leaders? What are your brand attributes?

How many of these 26 characteristics do you possess?
Authentic - first and foremost, they are genuine, real, true to themselves. They are not fake or contrived. (more about authenticity)
Bespoke - they are one-of-a-kind and cannot be easily duplicated or copied.
Consistent - they are always the same, you know what you can expect from them and they consistently deliver. (more about consistency)
Differentiated - they stand out from the crowd. (more about differentiation)
Expert - they are thought-leaders or icons in a specific area; they're not jacks-of-all-trades.
Focused - they are committed to a defined set of objectives and are not distracted by things that will prevent them from reaching their goals.
Goal-oriented - they are clear about where they want to go and they chart a course to get there. Their goals are always top-of-mind. (more about goals)
Hardworking - they don't mind doing what it takes to get ahead and have a strong work ethic.
Innovative - they never rest on their laurels; they're dynamic, staying ahead of, and often creating the changes around them.
Jazzed - they get excited about things that are relevant to their goals.
Karma-committed - they understand that you reap what you sow. They give to or mentor others. (more about karma)
Loveable - they have something about them that makes them attractive to others. (more about Love)
Motivated - either self motivated or motivated by those around them, they are inspired to act and create and make things happen.
Networked - they are connected to - and surrounded by - resources that can help them achieve their goals. (more about networking)
On-line - their google results reflect who they are and make you want to know them; they proactively manage their on-line identities. (more about on-line identity)
Pro-active - they don't wait for things to happen; they make them happen.
Quirky - always willing to expose what makes them different or unconventional, standing out because of their idiosyncrasies. They express interesting brand attributes. (more about brand attributes)
Resilient - they bounce back from challenges and continue steadfastly in the direction of their goals.
Strengths-focused - they know they will succeed by focusing more on maximizing strengths than on eliminating weaknesses. They lead with their strengths.
Trustworthy - you know what you can expect from them and know they will always deliver.
Unwavering - they stay focused on their goals and never give up; they're tenacious.
Visible- they're always in the purview of - and available to - their target audiences. (more about target audiences)
Wanting - they have a desire to achieve an aching need to accomplish things; they're not happy with the status quo.
eXceptional - there is something that they are better at than almost anyone else in the world.
YOU-nique - they're distinctive, one-of-a-kind.
Zealous - They are actively interested and enthusiastic. They approach life and their work with fervor.
